Outlook sometimes fails to retrieve IMAP

I have one user who is having frequent failures to retrieve emails using IMAP, but with no error messages. We are using Outlook 2013 on win8.1Pro. Several of us have occasional failures, where issuing a manual Send/Receive, or quitting and re-starting Outlook seems to take care of the problem. This one user is reporting failures on a fairly regular basis.

Are there any known issues with this version of Outlook and Hover's IMAP? I'm at a loss, as I have not been able to find any configuration differences with this particular user, and I have been unable to reliably duplicate the problem.
