Connecting your domain using private nameservers (Glue records)

By running unique DNS servers and managing your own DNS services, you can control your private nameservers (Glue records) through your Hover account.

Note: If you have been provided name servers from your web hosting provider, you do not need to create Glue records and will need to update your nameservers.

Creating your Glue records

  1. From the domain's overview section, click on Advanced.
    ClickAdvanced.png
  2. Scroll down to Glue records and click on Add a Glue Record.

  3. Enter your Glue record name and IPv4 or IPv6 address, click Add record.
Hover recommends using a different IP for each custom nameserver to ensure redundancy.
