I too would like to renew just the domain name.  I host my mail elsewhere and have no need for these mailboxes.

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere; I couldn't find it -- does the renewal take effect from the date the bill is paid or one year from the last date? I just got a reminder that my renewal is due by 2/5/14, but if I pay now (11/6/13), will my next renewal be due 11/6/14 or 2/5/15? Thanks!

Hi Adi, if you renew your domain now, it will add one year to the current expiry date and then renew again next on that new date. Thanks for the question!

One of our domains is coming up for renewal next month.  I would like to synchronize the renewal dates of our 3 domains.  Is it possible to do that?

    Thanks for your help!

Hey Laurie, it would not be possible to consolidate your renewal dates under one preferred date. These are fixed at the registry level and cannot be modified through Hover (aside from the year).

    Hello,

In the past I was able to apply a discount coupon when doing a domain renewal, I don't see the Apply Coupon area anymore, has it moved or is it no longer available or... ?

    Thanks.

Hi Marianne, promotional codes are still available for the first order under a new account. It would not be possible to use these codes after an order has been placed on that new account.

    Dear Hover,

I renewed a domain that I have and received order confirmation by e-mail.

But your web site still shows the old expiration date and in the activity tab no new invoice appears?

Why is that, how is it possible?

    Hello Dimtcho,

When you place an order, there is some checks that are performed before the order is actually completed.  I have checked your order and see it has since has been completed.

Hello.  I need to remove a mailbox (total of 1) and renew my account.  I accidentally added a mailbox and it won't let me delete it.

Hi, I just missed my renewal by 1 day, so the account hast been closed. I had to renew credit card information which is done now. However there was no button to activate the payment immediately as the renewal is on "automatic" (by the way I don't remember to have chosen that, but anyway...). So my question is: how can I reactivate my account after having renewed my credit card information?

    Hi Sandra,

By default, all domain names which are registered through Hover come with the Auto Renew setting turned on.  This can be disabled through the "Domain Details" tab of your Hover interface, or if you have multiple domains in your account, you can turn them off for any of your domains at https://www.hover.com/domains when viewing all of your domain names at once.

If your domain name has expired, and you would like to now place a renewal order manually, you can do so at https://www.hover.com/renew by searching for your recently expired domain name.  Please let me know if you encounter any issues at all.
