How do I renew my Hover services?

This article will show you how to renew your Hover services.

Renewing your registered domain name

  1. Sign in to your account at https://hover.com/signin

  2. If you have more than one domain, you will see a list of Your Domains.

To renew a single domain, click on Renew to the right of the domain. This will take you to the Shopping Cart.

If you have just one domain in your Hover account, you will be logged into the Overview page. From here, you can click Renew just below your domain. This will take you to the Shopping Cart.

  3. In the Shopping Cart:
    - Select the number of years you'd like to renew for by choosing from the drop down.
    - If you are adding or removing email, you can Show Email Options to make changes.

Once everything is ready, click Secure Checkout.

  4. Your Account and Billing Info will be automatically populated on your screen because you are logged in. If you need to update this, use the Edit option to the right of the Billing Info.

Note: The billing address must match exactly what your bank has on file for the credit card.

Put a check in the box to indicate you have read and agree to the Terms of Service.

    Click Submit Order.

My email renewal is coming up in a few days - I'd like to change from Plus to one of your new lower cost options, but I can't figure out how to change that.  How do I do that?

I thought you were planning on adding an option so that I could bring all my domains to the same renewal date.  Did that happen, or is it still a plan?

I too would like to renew just the domain name.  I host my mail elsewhere and have no need for these mailboxes.

I don't want to renew my mailboxes; they add $45 to the exchange, and I already host my email somewhere else, but it doesn't seem like there's a way to get rid of them

Hi Katrin - I just checked our site and I am still seeing the option to add multiple years.  You have to move your mouse over the line in the order to see the options appear, however if you're still not seeing it, I have opened a help request for you with a bit more detail, ticket #619485.

I have also attached an image here so you can see what I see when I hover my mouse over the order.

Let me know if you still need help with this.  We can converse over that ticket I sent you.

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere; I couldn't find it -- does the renewal take effect from the date the bill is paid or one year from the last date? I just got a reminder that my renewal is due by 2/5/14, but if I pay now (11/6/13), will my next renewal be due 11/6/14 or 2/5/15? Thanks!

Hello--your main renewal page mentions increasing discounts for longer renewal periods, yet when I go to the pricing page, the renewal price is (15 x no. years). Is there a discount for renewals or not?

    Thanks!

    Hi Michael,

You are right, the renewal page does mention multiple year renewal discounts, however our system has not yet been set up to automatically apply those.  Give us a call and we'll see if we can work something out for you.  You can call our toll free number 1-866-731-6556 Mon-Fri between 8am-8pm.

Hi,  Email packages have recently changed. I'm currently on Plus (with 2 mailboxes) but the new Classic Mail (with 5 mailboxes) is cheaper for me.  I'm about to renew, how do I change to Classic Mail from my old Plus deal?

One of our domains is coming up for renewal next month.  I would like to synchronize the renewal dates of our 3 domains.  Is it possible to do that?

    Thanks for your help!

It can actually take a few hours to process in our system before it renews. I'm going to send you a quick email to discuss it though.

Hi Adi, if you renew your domain now, it will add one year to the current expiry date and then renew again next on that new date. Thanks for the question!
