How to: Update email password

This article will show you the two ways to reset your Email Password.

  1. From your Hover.com Account
  2. From Hover Webmail

 

Update your Email Password from your Hover.com Account

If you forgot your Email Password, you can reset it by accessing your Hover.com account. This is where you would have purchased the email, and where you manage your services, and billing info.

  1. Sign into your account at https://hover.com/signin

    NOTE: You DO NOT use your email address and email password to signin here. You will have a separate username and password to access this account.

  2. Once logged in, select Emails from the Your Account menu.



  3. Click Edit next to the email address you wish to update the password for.



  4. Enter a new Mailbox Password for the email address and click Save Changes.

    Note: The mailbox name and password say (optional) here because this is an edit window, and you are not required to edit the name or password before closing the window, those edits are optional.



    Your email password is now updated!

Warning!  If you have your email set up in an email client such as Thunderbird, Outlook, MacMail, or on your phone or mobile device, you will need to update the password in your settings in order for it to be able to continue sending and receiving email.


Update Your Email Password from Webmail

If you know your email password, and you just want to change it, you can login to Hover Webmail and update your password.

  1. Login at https://mail.hover.com

  2. Once you're logged in, go to Settings and choose Password.

  3. Here you can enter the Current Password, then the New Password twice. 

    Click Save.



    Your email password is now updated!

Warning!  If you have your email set up in an email client such as Thunderbird, Outlook, MacMail, or on your phone or mobile device, you will need to update the password in your settings in order for it to be able to continue sending and receiving email.

    Password is not one of the options, I just see address, forward, and delete.

    The option for password under the address does not come up. I put a check mark beside the address, press bulk edit and then try to add a password but after I submit it comes back saying their was an error. Cant figure out how to get into my web mail account..

    Hi folks

    Only Small or Big mailboxes will show the option for Password. If you have purchased Forward Only email, you will not see Password when you move your cursor over that email address. Forward Only email does not have a Webmail option to sign in since it is just forwarding your email to another address you already own.

    how can I chane mail settings to access to webmail? How can I tranform my purchased forward only email to a 'regular ' one ?

    This looks good but never seems to work. All I ever get is "Opps ! Something went wrong" and it never updates password ?
