In the Domain Extras screen, copy down the Domain Auth Code (it will be used in the final steps of the transfer).
Note: You can edit the Domain Auth Code to be anything you wish. Editing it can make it easy to remember.
Ensure that Whois Privacy is set to Disabled.
If it is set to Enabled, select the Disable radio button and then click Save Configuration.
Ensure that Domain Locking is currently Disabled.
If Domain Locking is currently Enabled, disable it by selecting the Disable radio button and then clicking on Submit.
Head to hover.com/transfer_in.
Ensure that the Hover.com site shows that your domain:
- is eligible for transfer
- is "Unlocked at Tucows, Inc."
- shows the correct email address in the admin email section (if it is incorrect, check the Whois Privacy settings again at manage.opensrs.net [see step 4]. If the Whois Privacy is indeed disabled, wait 15 minutes for this to update and then check again at hover.com/transfer_in)
Check your email inbox for the transfer approval email, and follow all steps included in the email to approve the transfer (click on the link provided, enter your initials in the form, and click Agree).
Return to hover.com/transfer_in and refresh the screen. You should now see 2 (or 3) green check marks and no orange warnings. If there is still a warning, wait 15 minutes for the approval to update, and then refresh the screen again.
Click Add to Cart.
Add the Auth Code that you copied down at the beginning of the process to the box marked enter you authorization code.
Make any changes you wish to the registration term length or add email mailboxes if you desire.
Create your Hover account by filling in all the required information and clicking on Create Account. If you have a Hover account already, you can click Sign in.
Finish the transfer-in process by adding billing information (credit card) and registration information (name, address, email, etc.).
Review the confirmation information for the order and click the checkbox to indicate you agree to the Terms of Service.
Click on the Purchase Now button.
Please note that the transfer process can take up to 5 days to complete.
Valet Transfer Option

The Valet Transfer is a great option if you're having trouble doing it yourself, or if you have customer DNS settings at your current domain provider and want to ensure your site doesn't go down.
