Fixing Hover login issues

If you've forgotten your Hover username or your account password, you can have a password reset or username reminder email sent to the primary and backup email addresses on your Hover account.  

Send yourself a username reminder

  1. Select Forgot username? from the sign-in page.

  2. Enter the email address associated with your Hover account in the text box and then click Send.
    Note: If you enter an email that is not the primary email address on your Hover account, you'll see a message indicating the email address is "not found."

  3. An email sent confirmation message displays for confirmation.

  4. You will receive an email with the subject line "Hover username reminder" that contains your Hover username. If you have more than one account associated with your email address, the message will list all your usernames.

  5. Follow the link to the sign-in page or manually paste the link into your browser's address bar.
  6. Log in using the username from the email you received and your associated password.

Send yourself a password reset email

  1. Click Forgot password? from the sign-in page.

  2. Enter the username associated with your Hover account and click Send.

  3. An email sent confirmation will display.

  4. You will receive an email with the subject line "Reset your Hover password."

  5. Click Reset your password in the email message. The password reset lists your username for reference and is only valid for one hour.
  6. Type a new password for your Hover account into the text box then click Continue. Your password must meet the following requirements:
    • A minimum of 10 characters
    • Must include at least one upper case and one lower case letter
    • Must include a number
    • Must include a special character

  7. You'll be logged directly into the Activity section of your Hover account, and "Your password has been reset" will display as confirmation.

Troubleshooting

  • Make sure your entries have no typos.
  • Ensure you've entered the email address saved as the contact email address for renewal reminders and other messages from Hover. The email address may be different than the one you manage through your Hover account.
  • You can try adding help@hover.com to your emails trusted senders list if you are having trouble receiving these emails.
