If you have forgotten your username or password, follow the steps below to have a secure password reset link sent to the email address associated with your Hover account.  If you do not know the email address associated with your Hover account or it is out of date, please contact Hover Customer Service at help@hover.com or by phone at 1- 866-731-6556 for assistance.

Forgot Password

Click here to go directly to our password reset page at https://www.hover.com/signin/forgot_password

Enter the username or email address associated with your Hover account in the text box and then click on Submit.

An Email sent confirmation message will be displayed to confirm that the email has been sent.

You will receive an email in a few minutes with a link to reset your password, as pictured below:

Click on the link in the email message to reset your account password. Note: The link in the email will only work for 1 hr after it is sent.

Enter a new password for your Hover account in both text boxes then click Continue.

Your password has been reset.  You will be logged into the Activity section of your Hover account.

Forgot Username

If you have forgotten your username, click here or go directly to our forgot username page at https://www.hover.com/signin/forgot_username

Enter your email address and click Submit.

An Email sent confirmation message will be displayed to confirm that the email has been sent.

If you have only one Hover account under that email address, the email will contain your username and a link to reset your password. Follow the password reset steps outlined above.

Forgot Username - Multiple Hover Accounts with Same Email Address

If you have multiple Hover accounts with the same email address, and you have forgotten your username, click here or go directly to our forgot username page at https://www.hover.com/signin/forgot_username

Enter your email address and click Submit.

An Email sent confirmation message will be displayed to confirm that the email has been sent.

The email you receive will contain a list of all of the usernames to all of your Hover accounts (that have that same email address).

Determine which username/account you need access to (write down which username is for which account for future reference) and click here to go directly to our password reset page at https://www.hover.com/signin/forgot_password

Enter the correct username associated with your Hover account in the text box and then click on Submit.

The title of this document promises to help you figure out what your username was if you forgot it.

The content of this document, on the other hand, does not help you do that.

Instead, the content of the document shows you how to reset your forgotten password.  Granted, this will get you into Hover.  But you'll still be left wondering what the heck your username was.

Why do I think this subtle distinction is important?  Because if I want to use Google Webmaster Tools with a domain at Hover it may ask me to OAuth into Hover, at which point it requires both a correct username and a correct password.  I only remember the 2nd of these two items.

Pohl,

By entering the email address associated with your account, you will not only receive the password reset link, but the username for your Hover account as well (step 4). If this is not the case, please let me know.

Please note that the 0auth may fail as we are currently working with Google to fix the connection between them and us. You may need to use the "other" or "manual" verification method which will allow you to verify using a TXT or CNAME record. If you have any troubles with this, please let me know.

Ryan, please read my comment again.

I need to recover my webmail password, not my hover password. How would have I posted this comment if I couldn't sign in???

Webmail password recovery please, not hover.com, I can sign into that fine. Its my webmail that I can't - mail.hover.com

Hi Ismail,

If you're able to login to your hover control panel, then you can change the email password from within the account. Here is a useful guide on how to change any email password from within the hover account: https://help.hover.com/entries/21262082-How-to-Change-your-email-pa...
