Evolution
This tutorial explains how to configure Hover email in Evolution using IMAP.
Click on the Edit menu and select Preferences.
Select Mail Accounts and click Add.
Click Forward.
Enter your name and your Hover email address and then click Forward.
Enter the following settings for Receiving Email:
Server Type: IMAP
Server: mail.hover.com
Username: enter your full Hover email address
Use Secure Connection: SSL encryption
Authentication Type: Password and check off Remember password
Click Forward.
The Receiving Options are optional and up to your own personal preferences. The only options selected in the example able are to check for new messages every 10 minutes, and to check for new messages in all folders.
Click Forward.
Enter the following settings for Sending Email:
Server Type: SMTP
Server: mail.hover.com:465
Put a check next to "Server requires authentication."
Use Secure Connection: SSL encryption
Type: Plain
Username: enter your full Hover email address
Put a check next to "Remember password."
Click Forward.
Enter any name for the Hover account and click Forward.
Click Apply.
Enter the email account password when prompted and click OK.
Close the Evolution Preferences window.
The new email address and all of its IMAP folders will be listed in Evolution now.
