Use Hover Email With .TEL Domain Names
In order to use Hover email with a .TEL domain name, the Mail Exchange (MX) record needs to be pointed at Hover through your TelHosting control panel. This lesson will show you how to do this.
This lesson assumes that you already have a .TEL domain name with email addresses. If you have a .TEL domain name but you haven't purchased Hover email services, please visit the following tutorial for instructions on how to add email addresses to your .TEL domain services: http://about.hover.com/getmoreaddresses
By default, .TEL web hosting and DNS services are handled by the .TEL domain registry. To deliver your inbound email messages into your mailbox on Hover's email server, it is necessary to enter Hover's MX record in your .TEL domain settings at the registry.
Visit https://telhosting.opensrs.com and log in with your TelHosting username and password (these log in credentials were sent to you by email after you registered your .TEL domain name).
Click settings.
Click on Setup .tel email.
Enter the following settings:
Order: 1
Server host name: mx.hover.com.cust.hostedemail.com
Click Save.
A status message "MX records updated. ok" will be displayed at the top of the page.
Due to DNS caching, please allow up to 24 hours for the new MX record to take effect.
