Email Server Settings
This tutorial provides Hover's email server settings. If you are looking for step-by-step instructions to configure a specific email program click here.
Hover uses the following server names:
Incoming mail server: mail.hover.com
Outgoing mail server: mail.hover.com
Username: Your full email address in lowercase letters
Ports (if SSL is enabled):
Incoming Port Number : 993 for IMAP and 995 for POP3
Outgoing Port Number : Either of the following are can be used: 25 (default) or 465
Ports (if SSL is not enabled):
Incoming Port Number : 143 for IMAP and 110 for POP3
Outgoing Port Number : Any of the following are can be used: 25 (default), 587, or 8025
Our outgoing mail server requires authentication (password authentication, do not select MD5-Challenge if that is an option). The username to log into the outgoing mail server is your full Hover email address, and the password is the same password that you use for incoming mail.
Login Authentication: Do not turn on SPA (Secure Password Authentication) in your email software.

Any other outgoing ports? My work blocks all of the ones listed above.

@Christopher - These are the only outgoing ports we allow:
With SSL enabled: 25 or 465
With SSL disabled: 25, 587, or 8025
If your workplace blocks all of those ports then they must *really* want to prevent you from sending email using a mail client!
You might be able to use webmail to send email. You can log into webmail online at: https://mail.hover.com
