This tutorial will show you how to register new domains in Hover.  Click on one of the links below to skip to the appropriate section:

Register a domain name in a new Hover account

1. Click here to visit https://www.hover.com
2. Enter the name you want to register in the text box, or enter keywords for suggestions, and then click on Search.
   
   
3. A list of available extensions and suggestions will be displayed.  Domain names with a gold star next to them are premium domain names that have already been registered and are available for purchase from a private domain portfolio.   Click here if you want to learn more about premium domains.  Click on the plus button under to add a domain name to your shopping cart.
   
   
4. Click on the Checkout button.
   
   
5. Click on Checkout again
   
   
6. Under the I want to sign up section, enter your first and last name, email address, a username for you Hover account and a password to use with your Hover account.
   
   
7. If your choice of username has already been taken, an error message will be displayed.
    
   
8. All registered domain names require a registration record.  You can register the domain under the name of an individual or an organization.  Your domain's registration record can be different from your billing information.  Fill in the appropriate fields.
   
   
   
   Scroll down and ensure you have a check next to "Do not publish my contact information for this domain name in any online directories or Whois" if you want your registration record to be private. 
   
   
   
   Click Continue.
    
9. Select either "Check out with credit card" or Check our with PayPal" to save your billing information.  If you select PayPal, a pop-up window will appear for you to log in to your PayPal account.  We have an article on how to save PayPal billing information at the following URL, for your reference:  http://ask.hover.com/entries/21197797-how-to-use-paypal-to-purchase-or-renew-hover-services
   
   
   
10. To pay by credit card, enter your credit card billing information and then click Continue at the bottom of the page.
    
    
11. Put a check next to "I have read and agree to the Hover Terms of Service" and then click Finish.
    
    
12. An order confirmation will be displayed.  Click Continue.  Your domain registration is completed!
    
    
    

Register a domain name in your existing Hover account

1. Click here to sign in to your Hover account at https://www.hover.com/signin
2. Enter your Hover username and password and then click on Sign in To Account.
   
   
3. Depending on whether you have multiple domain names in your account or only one domain name, you will be taken to a domains list or a domain details page.  From either of these pages, click on the Add New button to start your domain search.
   
   
    
   
   
4. Enter the name you want to register in the text box, or enter keywords for suggestions, and then click on Search.
   
   
5. 6. Click on the Checkout button.
